Barn Shell Homes

Here at Tailor-Made Structures, we like to break down every barn home or "barndominium" into two aspects: the exterior or "shell" (concrete pad, walls, roof, doors and windows) and the interior (plumbing, electric, septic, HVAC and rest of interior finish). 

Tailor-Made Structures builds the exterior/shell (as seen in the picture here). We offer Metal and Shingle Roofs. And Metal (solid or two-tone), Hardie Board Lap and Hardie Board & Baton Siding. These structures are structurally engineered and built to withstand the harsh FL winds and are built to FL code as a residential home/dwelling. These barn home structures also pass all county inspections as a residential dwelling. 

When we are done with the exterior build, the structure will be completely dried in with windows and doors and you have two options to complete the interior of your new barn home:

1.   You can finish out the interior on your own, utilizing your own contacts. We can help guide you through this process with a checklist style guide to make it easier. We will also be there to help you throughout the permitting process to ensure you  receive your Certificate of Occupancy or "CO".

OR

2.  We can direct you to a General Contractor we use who specializes in interior finish. They only use certified tradesmen, so you can be sure everything will be finished to FL code. We will provide a separate quote for this service.
